Mel hails from New Zealand/Aotearoa, and has resided in the USA since 2015, and is currently based in NYC. The journey to pursue an aspiration to live state side, originated through her initial awe of the San Francisco architecture, landscape, and the shiny lights portrayed in media, all leading to a feeling of one day, experiencing something new and maybe, brighter.

Always curious about the world and people, this has led her down the journey into the media & marketing space - she loves the connection between culture, storytelling and business.

Recognized for fostering innovation, ownership and collaboration in her work and community projects, Mel has a breadth of marketing experience across earned, owned and paid media. She spent the recent half of her career in branded content marketing, involving strategy, creative development, production and business operations, where she grew her responsibilities, took on new strategic projects, led cross functionally, and oversaw content team operations.
